How to Become a Doctor in India?

There are mainly three types of doctors available in India who are approved by the Indian government such as allopathic doctors, ayurvedic doctors, and homeopathy doctors. There are huge differences among these doctors. Their qualification and course duration is different from each other. BAMS (Bachelor’s in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) is the minimum qualification for an Ayurvedic doctor, similarly, BHMS (Bachelor’s in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery) whereas MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) degree is the minimum degree for a MBBS doctor. The Minimum educational qualification is 10+2 for all these degrees with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

MBBS is the most preferable degree for Indian students to become a doctor. The demand for MBBS courses is very high in India. There are near about 80,000 MBBS seats available in both the government and private medical colleges of India. But too many medical aspirants prepare every year to get admission in MBBS courses. Now, NEET is the common entrance test for getting admission into MBBS courses at both the government and private medical colleges of India. Near about 14 lakh students appear NEET exam every year in India. Therefore, competition is very high here. We have to agree quality preparation is required for getting good scores in the NEET exam. Every year, many students score more than 700 out of 720 in NEET. So, you can make a good score if you will prepare systematically.

But it is seen that many sincere and serious students get less NEET scores rather than the average students. It may be due to the multiple choice. In this case, good students lose a year for getting an MBBS course. Apart from this, it is no guarantee of getting MBBS admission next year because MBBS admission in India completely depends on the NEET score. If you will get a good score then you will get a chance to get admission to MBBS in India. Every year around 80,000 MBBS-qualified doctors are made ready to provide treatment in India. So, there is a shortage of doctors in India according to the population. To keep this in mind MCI allows the students of India who completed MBBS degrees in other countries to qualify for a common entrance test set by MCI.

To keep this in mind, many educational consultancies in Patna, India started their consultation service for MBBS courses. They tie up with many private medical colleges in Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nepal, the USA, and many more for the MBBS admission of Indian students. Many private medical institutes abroad taking admission in MBBS courses according to NEET scores. They are taking responsibility for the students till the completion of the MBBS course. The MBBS course fee at private medical colleges abroad is cheaper than the Indian private medical colleges. The infrastructure of private medical colleges abroad is the same as the world-class standard for MBBS study. Therefore, students can achieve sufficient knowledge in both practical and theory classes. As a result, they can crack the exam of MCI easily for practice in India as an MBBS doctor. They can full fill their dream.

Conclusion: If you will get an opportunity to get admission to an MBBS course in the medical colleges of India then you will be a doctor after completion of the MBBS degree. On the other hand, if you will unable to get admission to an MBBS course in India then you set your mind strongly and get admission to an MBBS course abroad and give labor hard for your MBBS study. After completing your MBBS study abroad you will appear for the exam of MCI for practice in India.
