Admission Procedure
Admission to the First Year of Engineering, MCA &MBA Courses
a. From the sanctioned seats, 85 % seats would be reserved for the candidates from within the state & 15% will be open to the candidates outside the states. The eligibility criteria for 85 % seats are that the candidate should be a resident of Punjab state in accordance with the department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (PPI Branch). Punjab Govt. letter No 1.3/95 dated 6th June, 1996 & Letter No-l/3/95 3PPI/81 dated 1st Jan. l999.The candidates would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from Principal/ Head of the Institution last attended on the prescribed Performa.
b. Admission for 85% seats for State candidates & 15% for outsiders shall be made strictly on JEE/MET/MAT 2016 respectively. In case seats not filled under the respective category eligibility may be considered (if the candidate has appeared in the entrance examination i.e., JEE/MET/MAT 2016 conducted by the declared authorized agency by the State/Centre Govt.) as such on the inter se merit in the qualifying examination.
c. Candidates claiming seats under 15 % quota reserved for outside Punjab candidates are required to appear in JEE 2016.
d. Admissions to the Engineering courses, both for 85% seats for resident of Punjab and 15% seats for outsiders shall be made strictly on the basis of merit in JEE 2016-2017 and in case seats not being filled under respective category. The admission can take place on the inter se merit in qualifying examination.
e. After counseling the vacant seats will be filled under management quota.
