Our Admission Process

Doctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Minimum Eligibility:

Obtained at least 55% marks or equivalent in qualifying Master’s Examination. Relaxations shall be as per the university norms. In service candidates, three years of experience is required. Inter/Multidisciplinary research is also possible.
Admission to PhD program shall be through an entrance test and personal interview.

Master Of Technology (M.Tech)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
Obtained at least 50% marks (47.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech)

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical vocational subjects.
Obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Bachelor Of Technology - Lateral Entry (B.Tech-LEET)

(a) Passed diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution, with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of engineering/ Technology.
(b)Passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
(c) Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.
(d)Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
(e)Provided further that students, who have passed diploma in Engineering & technology from an AICTE approved institution or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies for lateral entry are exhausted.

However the admission shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in a,b,d and e above.

Master Of Business Administration (MBA)

Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration.
Obtained at least 50% marks (47.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

Post Graduate Diploma In Management (PGDM)

Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration.
Obtained at least 50% marks (47.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

Bachelor Of Business Management (BBA)

Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board, with English as one of the compulsory subjects, obtaining at least 40% marks in the aggregate.

Our Placement Details

Training and Placement Cell:- is an integral part of the SAMALKHA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS (SGI). The SGI has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the placement cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective executives for the campus selection programs. The cell keeps on invites various industries and corporate for campus recruitment. It modules the engineering and management graduates and post graduates to young corporals. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students.

Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our institute regularly for the campus recruitment programs. The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programs. The cell maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries and also prepares the recruited candidates to face the competitive world.
