Caucasus International University (CIU)is a Non-Government Highest Education Institution and relatively new University which has evolved from its early days as a school of business, created in the 1990's in partnership with the U.S. Georgia State University, Atlanta. Today, the University has five different faculties and around a thousand students attend the establishment each year. The Faculty of Medicine offers a number of different degrees, including pharmacology, dentistry, physical medicine and rehabilitation and medicine. A member of FAIMER-IMED (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research) and the WHO's AVICENNA, the Faculty of Medicine at Caucasus International University is also recognized by the Medical Council of India.
The Faculty of Medicine is well-equipped, with modern, hi-tech facilities in which to learn. Students complete both theoretical teaching and clinical instruction. Instruction is delivered by highly qualified and experienced teaching personnel. The CIU hosts the "Annual International Scientific Conference for Students", which gives learners from CIU an opportunity to participate, as well as attract delegates from many different countries.
Medical qualifications are delivered in both Georgian and English. The course delivered in English is specifically designed to accommodate foreign students. At the present about 700 medical students at CIU are from other countries. As part of the requirements for a successful application to study medicine, foreign students who don't intend to use the Georgian language option for their course will need to either hold a B2-level pass in the English language, or successfully complete the University's own English test.
The cost of living is extremely reasonable in the surrounding area, leading to many students renting apartments in Tbilisi. Students can eat cheaply at the University's cafeteria (which can seat around 300 students and services a wide a range of dishes, reflecting the multicultural nature of the student body). Because CIU is located in the city of Tbilisi, many students choose to eat at one of the local restaurants or cafes.

2) Admission confirmation :- As soon as the admission letter comes you need to submit the second installment of the processing charge with original passport , original documents with some additional documents as instructed.
3) Visa Application :- Once the documents has been submitted at the Embassy and the visa receiving date has been confirmed , the student need to give the third installment's soon as the passport will be received with visa stamping , all the originals will be given back.
4) Travel Information :- The last step is the travel arrangements which will be done by us, we will be giving you all the necessary details about the departure time, arrival time, who will be receiving at the airport etc. The last installment of processing fee will be given then.

Everything started 20 years ago from the idea which seemed utopian at first glance! In 1995, against the background of harsh social and political conditions, several people’s idea became reality and a higher educational institution was founded in Georgia, which became one of the leading universities within the next ten years. The quality of academic staff was gradually improving, the number of faculties was increasing, and the infrastructure was developing. Consequently, these led to an increase in student number. In 2005-2007 the university was granted the status of accredited institution. In 2012 all university programmes successfully passed authorization and accreditation for the period of five years and it gained the status of higher education institution-university, i.e. the three-cycle higher education system has been implemented at the university (CIU) and the vacancies have been defined by 3500 students.
By the decision of the Authorization Council of National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement made on 14 July, 2015 Caucasus International University application has been approved and in accordance to the decision of the council the number of university students has been defined by 4700.
CIU offers Bachelor, One-step (in Georgian, English and Russian), Master and Doctoral programmes.
Despite the fact that there are a number of universities of international standard in our country, there was still a demand for creating a university of western standards; Caucasus International University set this goal; five faculties have been introduced. They are distinguished by high-qualified academic staff and scientific-research centres
