Candidates who have passed I.Sc., class XII examination of the 10+2 system, or its equivalent Higher Secondary Council, with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English as their major subjects and obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology separately are eligible to apply for the entrance examination.
Eligible candidates must face the competitive entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Medicine (IoM), Tribhuvan University; and must secure a minimum of 50% of marks in the entrance examination for getting admission in the MBBS and BDS Program of the KIST Medical College.
This eligibility applies both to the Nepalese and International candidates. Interested candidates are advised to visit the IoM webpage www.iom.edu.np for the details oentrance examination.
The College admits three categories of students.
The Nepalese Scholarship students are selected by the Ministry of Education Government of Nepal. Ten percent of the total seats are reserved for students under this category as per the rules and regulation of Government of Nepal.
The Nepalese self-financing students are selected by the Student Selection Committee of the College. Students who have passed the MBBS entrance and BDS entrance examination of Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, are only eligible to fill the application form available at KISTMCTH. The College Management will have the final right to select the students for admission.
The international (foreign) students are selected on merit basis. An interview of the candidate and parents/guardian will be conducted by the College. The College management will have the final right to select students for admission.
