2. Direct Second Year Admission (Lateral Entry) : A candidate should be 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the subject) OR 10th + (2 years ITI) with appropriate specialization OR 12th Science with Vocational / Technical.

ADMISSION PROCESS
Admission in second year (third semester) is done through Lateral Entry. As per regulations of AICTE and Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar, Lateral Entry to Second Year Diploma Courses shall be permissible up to a maximum of 10% seats of 1st year approved intake, plus the unfilled vacancies of the First year as specified in the AICTE Approval Process Handbook.
Admission in Diploma Engineering courses (Lateral Entry) is done through the entrance
examinations conducted by DCECE(LATERAL ENTRY), Govt. of BIHAR. Candidates who
qualify in the said examinations (Common Merit Rank) are eligible to take admission in the
respective courses. Candidates outside the state of Bihar shall also be eligible for admission.
