Zainul Haque Sikder Women’s Medical college and Hospital (Pvt) Ltd, Dhaka has been established in 1992 as per the permission of the Government of Bangladesh. The college campus situated at Monica Estate on the Western side of Dhanmondi over a vast area of land having built in area of 450000 sq. ft, in about one km away from Satmosjid road can be reached by Rd no.8A or Zigatola rd. the medical college is affiliated with Dhaka University and recognized by BM&DC and WHO.
Since its establishment the management has left no stone unturned to develop the institution as a center of excellence in medical education with innovative approaches for both the under graduate and post graduate level. Accordingly side by side with the development of conventional departments essential for undergraduate medical education, a cardiac care and research centre with facilities for cardiothoracic surgery and interventional cardiology has been added to the existing one at a huge cost and efforts of the founder Chairman Mr. Z. H. Sikder. All these specialties have been set up in the premises of the institution for wide ranging exposure and training of the students and doctors studying and working here. It is hoped that by the time the student leave the college as a graduate doctor, they will be better informed and skilled with modern advances in medical science and technology.

Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh conducts a central written admission test at the national level for admission in the government and non-government Medical Colleges each year. They publish a merit list for eligible candidates. The authority of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College selects the students according to the merit list from the students who applied for admission in ZHSWMC.
Each applicant must attach with his/her application a non-refundable Demand Draft or Telegraphic Transfer (TT) of US$ 60.00 (sixty) payable to "The Director, Medical Education and HMPD, DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh".
Only the applications received through Bangladesh Missions abroad or through the Missions in Dhaka of respective countries will be considered for admission. Applications must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dhaka by the missions before the deadline announced and published in the websites of DGHS, Bangladesh (www.dghs.gov.bd) and Consulate of Bangladesh (www.bangladesheconsulatela.com).
Application should be submitted in the prescribed form to be available from DGHS website: www.dghs.gov.bd. Attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets etc. have to be submitted along with the application. All certificates and mark-sheets must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No application will be accepted without attestation.
To ensure citizenship of foreign students, attested copies of passport must be submitted along with the application. The certificates/mark sheets and other testimonials need to be attested by the respective country's education board/education ministry.

Successful applicants will have to produce all the original academic certificates and mark-sheets/transcripts during their admission.
ZHSWMC has two separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. The rooms are comprising of double bed and triple bed. The accommodation facilities will be provided subject to the availability. However, seats are reserved for foreign students.
